📋 Description

• Perform detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications • Set, test, wire, and install relaying and control systems, specifically SEL equipment • Program, installation, and testing of SCADA and PLC systems, primarily SELRTACs • Produce configuration files associated with IEC61850 (GOOSE), DNP3, or other SCADA protocols • Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including specifications, RFIs, studies • Perform SCADA and relay field testing and commissioning services • Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for SCADA systems such as SEL RTAC, Ignition, or PLCs • Checking the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required • Understanding and experience with applicable Codes and Standards such as NEC and NESC • Mobilize and perform field assignments multiple weeks at a time in Texas and New Mexico • Other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred • 2 – 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience • PE is preferred • Knowledge and familiarity with medium and high voltage power systems, with strong knowledge in SCADA SEL equipment installation and configuration, RTAC experience is a plus • Experience with configuring, testing, and commissioning IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, and/or other SCADA protocols • Experience creating Network Architecture Diagrams • Experience with Oil & Gas private usage networks (Transmission & Distribution) is a plus • Proficiency with AutoCAD • Previous Interactions with clients, customers, contractors and others • Effective written and oral communications skills • Good interpersonal and people skills • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
