âą Monitor and ensure continuous compliance with all conditions and requirements set by the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) including reporting obligations, advertising guidelines and responsible gaming policies. âą Assist with all procedures related to obtaining, maintaining and renewing local operational licenses and permits. âą Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to the BCLB and other relevant government agencies. âą Draft, review and negotiate various commercial agreements, vendor contracts, marketing partnerships and employment contracts, ensuring they adhere to Kenyan contract law. âą Draft, update and implement internal compliance manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and external facing documents such as Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy for the Kenyan customer base. âą Provide prompt, accurate and practical legal advice to internal departments (Operations, Marketing, HR) on day to day matters affecting the business in Kenya. âą Ensure the company's Responsible Gaming framework meets local legal standards and proactively protects vulnerable customers.
âą Bachelor degree of Laws from a recognized university. âą Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya is an added advantage âą Minimum 3 years of post qualification experience in a legal or compliance role with exposure to a regulated industry such as iGaming, Banking or Financial Services is a significant advantage âą In depth knowledge of the Kenyan Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act, BCLB regulations and the Data Protection Act âą Ability to read and interpret documents in both English and Swahili is beneficial for local court documents and regulatory correspondence.
