• Posting medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts • Work directly with the insurance company and healthcare provider to process claims • Verifying correct insurance filing information • Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software • Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle • Research and appeal denied claims
🎯 Requirements
• No specific educational qualification mentioned • Ability to handle protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid • Medical Billing experience • EHR/EMR portal management experience
