📋 Description

• Architecture Leadership: Evolve Neon's internal AI infrastructure. You will build a scalable, reliable, and intuitive foundation for all of the company's AI-based products. • Strategic Direction: Lead critical architectural decisions in a rapidly changing AI market. This includes adopting agent frameworks, setting standards for integration with Neon's backend systems, and assembling a comprehensive evaluation, observability, and tracing system. • Technical Influence: Act as a senior mentor and technical reference on AI for engineers across teams. You will ensure adoption of best practices through architectural reviews, clear documentation, and hands-on collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven Experience: Strong track record designing, building, and maintaining large-scale complex distributed systems. • AI Expertise: Hands-on experience building and deploying products that use Large Language Models (LLMs), with mastery of the modern AI/ML development stack. • Pragmatism and Curiosity: You keep up with the fast-evolving AI landscape but can make pragmatic, results-oriented decisions about which technologies to adopt (from orchestrators to new models). • Strategic Vision: Ability to articulate a long-term technical vision and produce a clear, incremental execution plan, balancing innovation with business needs. • Natural Leadership: You lead by influence in cross-functional environments. Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver projects.
