📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and internal APIs in Python • Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based production systems, including performance tuning and root-cause investigation • Write, optimize, and maintain MySQL queries and schemas for high-traffic, production-scale data • Use AI across development, debugging, testing, and unfamiliar code workflows; review generated output for provenance and licensing • Ship reliable, well-tested features with senior engineers and cross-functional teams • Work across legacy and modern codebases, including Perl-based components, supporting gradual modernization • Contribute to technical design decisions and shape legacy-system modernization • Own production troubleshooting and participate in an on-call rotation as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of backend development experience • Strong working knowledge of Python and Linux systems administration • Solid MySQL experience, including writing queries, designing schemas, and diagnosing performance issues • AI-augmented delivery experience across the delivery lifecycle, including understanding model suitability, AI-generated code failure modes, customer-data prompt boundaries, and security/compliance review considerations • Experience in a collaborative, Agile development environment with sprint and release discipline • Demonstrated troubleshooting instincts and ownership of production issues under pressure, including as a front-line responder • Perl familiarity is beneficial but not required • cPanel familiarity is beneficial but not required
