📋 Description

• Monitor, analyze, and investigate security threats across enterprise systems and networks • Triage and respond to security alerts and incidents • Support incident response, threat intelligence, and forensic analysis activities • Identify anomalies, escalate issues, and improve detection and response processes • Develop security reports and metrics for operational awareness and leadership decision-making • Identify and support mitigation of information security risks • Evaluate projects and initiatives against security requirements, policies, and standards • Support internal and external audits by collecting and analyzing evidence and assessing control effectiveness • Track remediation activities, corrective action plans, and audit findings • Investigate security incidents, analyze root cause and impact, contain threats, and reduce organizational risk • Maintain security tools, controls, and monitoring capabilities • Develop and improve threat-informed detections and automated response playbooks, including use case development, rule creation, tuning, validation, and optimization • Monitor security telemetry for violations, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity • Analyze and apply threat intelligence • Support onboarding and validation of security telemetry • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on incident response, remediation, and security improvements • Assist in evaluating and selecting security technologies • Work shifts and participate in on-call rotations for continuous global monitoring coverage • Serve as a senior technical resource, mentor junior analysts, and support cross-training • Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and coordinate tasks for junior team members

🎯 Requirements

• A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is desirable • Industry-recognized certifications are a plus, including CompTIA Security+ or CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GCTI, GSOC, CISSP, CISM, and relevant cloud or security vendor certifications • 5-7 years of experience in security operations or related disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in security analysis and incident response • Working knowledge of access control, authentication, encryption, system integrity, and logging • Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and incident management procedures • Ability to develop, modify, and maintain SIEM threat detection rules, tune alerts, and improve detection fidelity • Understanding of security telemetry, including syslog, Windows Event Forwarding, ELK, normalization, and data quality • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, macOS, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and DNS • Experience with EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and host-based detection/prevention systems • Ability to correlate data across security and telemetry sources • Experience applying MITRE ATT&CK • Experience with malware analysis, network forensics, and digital forensics; reverse engineering is a plus • Ability to assess threats and implement timely mitigations under pressure • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence tools, including Google SecOps/Chronicle, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne Singularity, Tanium Threat Response, and Recorded Future • Cloud security monitoring experience across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI is a plus • Familiarity with security-focused frameworks, methodologies, and best practices is a plus • Experience applying threat intelligence • Experience developing or working with SOAR workflows and playbooks • Strong technical proficiency in security operations, detection, and incident response • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex investigations • Ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and cross-training to junior analysts
