📋 Description

• Set the technical direction for the analytics team, including architecture, conventions, and approach • Raise the technical floor through code reviews, design reviews, and pairing • Own the architecture of data models and their long-term maintainability • Own the semantic layer, metric definitions, and governed self-service • Partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering to translate needs into an executable roadmap • Negotiate scope directly with stakeholders • Drive proactive analysis to surface business questions • Define the team's data testing strategy and govern validation of business logic • Own monitoring, alerting, incident response, and release readiness for the analytics layer • Mentor engineers and build shared understanding through documentation and technical presentations • Lead large-scale migrations and performance efforts

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working with data in a software environment • Mastered proficiency in SQL and Python • Advanced experience managing business semantic layer tooling, data catalog tooling, and data integrity testing frameworks • Experience with dbt orchestration and best practices • Experience with relational datastores • Experience with DAG tooling such as Dagster or Airflow • Experience with Tableau • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, and Terraform • Experience with document, graph, or schema-less datastores • Track record of working autonomously and proactively, with deep domain knowledge of data systems • Successful completion of a background check
