📋 Description

• Lead two multi-disciplinary feature teams delivering NewsWhip's ambitious AI roadmap • Work closely with Product and UX leaders to shape and execute AI strategy • Manage diverse engineering teams that bring innovative solutions to life • Partner deeply with Product and UX leads as part of the core product delivery triad • Actively contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning • Drive feature definition and scope through close collaboration with Product Management and UX Design • Proactively identify and communicate emerging AI technology opportunities • Facilitate discovery sessions and technical spikes to validate approaches and identify risks early • Foster a collaborative environment where Engineering, Product, and UX work seamlessly together • Manage team performance, career development, and growth • Ensure delivery plans, team structure, and engineering outputs align with business objectives

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years in engineering management • Strong track record of partnership with Product Management and UX teams • Experience leading product discovery and solution design processes • Proven ability to influence product strategy through technical leadership • Strong technical background with experience in either Backend Development, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning • Experience managing diverse technical teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives • Understanding of modern AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and software architecture • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices • Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent • Technical expertise in several of: Large Language Models and their APIs, Vector databases (ChromaDB, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.), Embedding models and similarity search, RAG architectures, Prompt engineering and management, AI evaluation and testing frameworks, LLMOps tools and practices
