📋 Description

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the CMDB and HSAM systems • Create user guides for various user roles • Develop administrator guides for system configuration and maintenance • Outline workflows and procedures related to asset management • Contribute knowledge base articles for common issues and FAQs • Review and provide feedback on DAF policies, manuals and other DoD documentation • Create training materials including presentations and quick reference guides • Ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with system functionality • Collaborate with SMEs to gather information and validate content • Manage the documentation lifecycle including version control • Develop and execute a communication plan for project stakeholders • Support creation and distribution of project updates, release notes, and system notifications • Draft and review project email communications and internal blog posts • Present information effectively in written and verbal formats • Manage communication channels like email distribution lists and internal websites • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and gather feedback on documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance • 15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience) • 5+ years of experience as a technical writer in an IT environment • Experience documenting CMDB and/or asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera) is highly desirable • Proven ability to create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for technical and non-technical audiences • Experience developing and executing communication plans • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficiency in documentation tools • Understanding of ITIL principles and asset management best practices • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus • Experience with screen capture and image editing software (e.g., Snagit, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus
