📋 Description

• Collaborating cross-functionally to enhance the performance, availability, reliability, and efficiency of Akamai's content delivery platform through data-driven operational and architectural decisions. • Responding to escalations for capacity impact evaluation. Define, manage, and track SLIs and SLOs for service performance and availability. • Designing strategies for allocating Akamai's global capacity across products to balance efficiency, resilience, and customer experience. • Engineering global traffic policies to continuously improve latency, availability, and resource utilization. • Automating operational tasks and build frameworks that eliminate toil and reduce manual and repetitive work. • Partnering with engineering and SRE teams to design scalable, resilient systems and troubleshoot performance issues across services, networks, and regions. • Implementing and optimizing monitoring, alerting, logging, and analytics to proactively detect, mitigate, and prevent issues. • Leading and partnering on incident response to ensure prompt, high-quality resolution and lasting improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering field. • Have proficiency with Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages. Have good Linux CLI/shell fluency. • Be proficient in developing SQL queries for trend analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting. • Have experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role. • Have good Linux/Unix internals knowledge; expertise with the network protocol stack, distributed systems, and systems design. • Be experienced with monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
