📋 Description

• Improving Akamai's content delivery products through cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decisions, and focus on performance, availability, reliability, and efficiency. • Responding to escalations for capacity impact evaluation. • Designing strategies for allocating Akamai's global capacity across products to balance efficiency, resilience, and customer experience. • Engineering global traffic policies to continuously improve latency, availability, and resource utilization. • Automating operational tasks and build frameworks that eliminate toil and reduce manual and repetitive work. • Collaborating with engineering and SRE teams to build scalable, resilient systems and troubleshoot complex performance issues across services, networks, and regions. • Implementing and optimize monitoring, alerting, logging, and analytics to proactively detect, mitigate, and prevent issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering field. • Have an experience with Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages. • Demonstrate Linux CLI/shell fluency, deep Linux/Unix internals knowledge; expertise with the network protocol stack, distributed systems, and systems design • Demonstrate an experience in developing SQL queries for trend analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting. • Have an experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role. • Be fluent in monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) • Experience with Lisp and Linear Programming would be a plus
