📋 Description

• Perform system analysis and troubleshooting • Assess performance and capacity of our platform • Make improvement recommendations • Collaborate with engineering and the SRE teams to implement new features and products • Test inefficiencies and fragilities and write software or infrastructure fixes • Design and work with Engineering or the SRE team to build automation or provide self-service tools • Leverage skills in data analysis, network diagnostics and debugging tools to characterize performance and capacity of large-scale distributed systems • Design, manage and track Akamai's platform related KPIs to identify trends and changes to improve performance • Investigate proactively and analyze platform performance to identify opportunities to maintain and enhance our advantage • Collaborate with internal teams to help trouble-shoot and resolve escalations and incidents for our customers • Work with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements and influence how the business deploys and operates capacity

🎯 Requirements

• Have relevant experience and knowledge in Computer Science or another quantitative discipline • Demonstrate experience in developing solutions **Python, Bash**, or other languages • Demonstrate experience in **internet protocols** such as DNS, HTTP, TCP • Have experience working with and analyzing complex systems in **Linux, VM, and Kubernetes** production environments • Show excellent communication skills and articulate technical information in a clear and easy to understand manner • Display excellent organization skills, managing priorities and multiple tasks • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and have a drive to improve results
