📋 Description

• Diagnose hardware and network issues remotely on Akamai servers across APJ • Facilitate server repairs with ISPs and Field Engineers • Coordinate return of Akamai equipment to warehouses and vendors • Work with Hardware Engineering to identify and resolve post-deployment hardware issues • Monitor hardware failure patterns and proactively report them to Hardware Engineering and vendors • Manage Akamai hardware assets • Troubleshoot infrastructure supporting Akamai's Content Distribution Network and Internet Security products

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in technology or related field or relevant Professional Experience • 1+ years of hands-on network and server hardware experience in fault diagnosis • Basic knowledge of server hardware technologies, including hard drives, RAM, motherboards, and RAID • Basic Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting skills • Knowledge of the OSI Model • Unix/Linux command-line interface (CLI) knowledge • Exposure to data center technologies and infrastructure • Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, third-party service providers, and vendors • Exceptional analytical skills and systematic information gathering for troubleshooting and issue resolution • Ability to occasionally work non-office hours
