📋 Description

• Design and build systems supporting automated operational workflows and providing insights into global network data • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks caused by process inefficiencies, manual toil, and technical debt • Generate telemetry data and deep observability for network infrastructure • Architect code to be self-sustainable, robust, and maintainable • Focus on CI/CD, test-driven development, and iterative design • Support and deploy cloud-native, third-party software using an infrastructure-as-code paradigm • Continuously improve Akamai's ability to monitor and operate its global backbone

🎯 Requirements

• 2 or more years of relevant experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Programming experience with Python and/or JavaScript • Ability to design and develop scalable full-stack systems using appropriate frameworks and SDLC best practices • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, service orchestration, microservices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and modern DevOps practices • Experience with PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra • Experience with network telemetry, monitoring/metrics, dashboarding, and alerting • Experience developing automation to improve operational efficiency
