📋 Description
• Support student success by utilizing a personalized approach • Help each student gain a deeper understanding of course material • Devise effective learning strategies • Engage in critical thinking • Acquire additional academic skills in order to help the student reach educational goals • Meet with students on an individual or small group basis on campus and/or online • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development activities • Maintain complete and accurate records
🎯 Requirements
• Thorough understanding of the subject(s) that they will tutor • An Associate degree or above in the discipline or a related field from a regionally accredited institution • A grade of B or above in each course the candidate intends to tutor • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills • Strong analytical skills • An interest in working with a diverse population of students • Patience and a genuine desire to help others learn and succeed • Previous experience as a peer or professional tutor is a plus but not required
