📋 Description

• Accurately estimates the labor and material costs on competitive bids. • Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates. • Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares cost estimates of steel pipe and fittings for competitive bids. • Analyzes data to determine manufacturing capabilities at individual facilities. • Manages estimates for multiple projects simultaneously. • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. • Consults with Sales and provides Sales with detailed scopes of work for competitive bids. • Provides information and guidance to Project Managers on all details of an estimate once the project has been awarded. • Reviews estimates done by other Estimators, as needed. • Responsible for the accuracy of own estimates. • Responsible for the timely completion of own estimates.

🎯 Requirements

• Four-year undergraduate degree, preferred. • Minimum of 2 years experience in related field. • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Must work and communicate well with peers, and other plant personnel. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products used by the company. • Must have a proficient understanding of civil engineering and surveying terms and methods. • Must be strong in mathematics through trigonometry. • Must possess a strong work ethic as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
