📋 Description
• This is a remote position. • The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project. • This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and views. • The developer will devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status. • Works for section of IT- SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). • Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases. • This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports for Texas’s 1200 school districts.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum 7 years experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. • 7 years experience writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them. • 7 years experience in documentation. • 7 years experience in Dev/Unit Testing. • 7 years experience in Agile Development. • 7 years experience in storing, querying, and manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables. • 4 years experience in creating complex queries and views using JSON format data. • 4 years experience in optimizing performance of stored procedures and views accessing JSON data.
