📋 Description

• Responsible for the availability, performance, integrity, and security of databases. • Core responsibilities include installation, administration, operation, support, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading of database servers to ensure availability, security, and optimal performance. • Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. • Perform query optimization and assist/review/provide feedback to stakeholders on complex queries, stored procedures/functions, views, and DDL/DML scripts. • Troubleshoot complex database issues accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with SLAs/OLAs. • Maintain operational, disaster recovery, and backup procedures/processes to ensure continuous availability and rapid recovery.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of database management experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle databases, ideally in Linux environments. • Strong working knowledge of database platforms and their internal engine, storage, and memory architectures/processes. • Experience managing enterprise-level, mission-critical databases with sizes of 2+ TB. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Professional, pleasant, and flexible demeanor; willing to work flexible shift schedules as required. • Quick learner, proactive, enthusiastic, determined, and hard-working. • Excellent analytical and communication skills. • Experience with MPP technologies such as Netezza or Teradata. • Experience with cloud platforms/technologies is a plus. • Experience with a programming language is a plus.
