📋 Description
• Facilitate learning activities that engage and retain students • Mark assessments and providing meaningful, constructive feedback • Supporting communication through discussion boards, emails, and live sessions – ensuring visibility to students every 24-48 hours • Collaborate with academic teams to maintain unit quality • Upholding OES values to foster a positive team culture and student experience
🎯 Requirements
• Hold a minimum Masters in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. • 5+ years industry experience • Experience with technologies such as Python, Flask, MySQL, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Bootstrap is highly regarded, as is previous teaching, training, mentoring, or online facilitation experience • Experience reviewing other developers' code and giving feedback on it. • Experience assessing live code demonstrations or technical interviews. • Teaching or studying in an online environment, and prior teaching or mentoring. • Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by online learners • Organised & proactive: Able to manage time and responsibilities independently • Tech-confident: Comfortable navigating online learning platforms • Student-focused: Passionate about helping students succeed • Flexibility to work sessional part-time: 8 hours per week. Hours may increase depending on assessment/marking cadences and the number of student groups you support. • Located in Australia
