📋 Description

• Enable efficient consumption of domain data as a product by delivering and promoting strategically designed actionable datasets and data models • Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines using a broad range of technologies • Support teams without data engineers in building decentralised data solutions and product integrations • Build data pipelines in the Lakehouse using Medallion architecture • Act as a data ambassador and promote the value of data and the data platform among engineering teams • Cooperate with product teams to integrate data into end products and streamline source data • Follow and promote data mesh principles around decentralised data ownership and “data as a product” • Promote privacy-by-design principles and ensure sensitive data complies with security and privacy standards • Increase engineering data literacy through training and mentoring • Advance agentic systems for data engineering by creating specialised skills and agents • Work with product managers, software engineers, product analysts, data scientists, and regional business partners to deliver and validate data projects end to end

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building complex data pipelines and working with technical and business stakeholders • Creative, highly driven, and self-motivated • Advanced SQL skills, including efficient and readable SQL code • Familiarity with Medallion architecture • Experience designing for scale, storage, and performance • Business and product understanding and ability to handle ambiguity • Track record of successfully delivering and managing data project lifecycles • Ability to build robust Python applications with maintainable code • Experience with cloud data technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Cloud • Experience with technologies such as Redshift, Spark, Trino, Iceberg, or Airflow • Knowledge and curiosity about big data technologies and tools • Experience working with analytics teams and translating business terms and KPIs into technical requirements • Experience defining and measuring data quality, such as with Monte Carlo or Great Expectations • Familiarity with Claude Code and/or Cursor, skills, and AI agents • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English
