📋 Description

• Design and execute features for the Common platform, from concept to pixel-perfect implementation • Create compelling visual designs that balance aesthetic excellence with functional clarity • Contribute to and help maintain a comprehensive design system that scales across our ecosystem • Conduct co-design sessions with community stakeholders, ensuring their voices shape our platform • Execute user research initiatives, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis of findings • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design fidelity in implementation • Design for accessibility, ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all experiences • Prototype interactions and micro-animations that bring delight to the user experience • Document design decisions and create guidelines for consistent implementation • Create brand and marketing materials that communicate our mission and values • Design organizational collateral, including identity systems, research reports, website updates, etc. • Balance multiple design requests from across the organization while maintaining quality and brand consistency

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft and brand design capability • Excellence in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy • Deep expertise in modern design tools and prototyping • Strong background in creating and maintaining scalable design systems • End-to-end product design experience with complex software applications from concept to launch; ideally from product companies where you’ve experienced the feedback loop of interaction and improvement • Experience with co-design methodologies and participatory design processes • Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design decisions • Ability to handle generalist design requests while maintaining focus on core product work • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders • Comfort working in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements
