📋 Description
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers • Support Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware environments • Diagnose issues with Dell and Supermicro servers • Resolve customer incidents involving VPS, dedicated servers, virtualisation, and connectivity • Maintain Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, backups, and monitoring • Support data centre infrastructure, storage, and networking • Participate in upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects • Maintain clear technical documentation and follow change-management procedures
🎯 Requirements
• 7+ years of systems, infrastructure, or data-centre experience • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux • Strong hands-on experience with Hyper-V and VMware • Strong hands-on experience with Dell and/or Supermicro servers • Strong server and virtualisation troubleshooting experience • Experience in data centres, hosting, managed services, or another 24/7 infrastructure environment • Good understanding of networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery • Strong spoken and written English • Reliable, organised, and comfortable taking ownership of issues through resolution • Independent contractor engagement • Approximately 10–15 hours per week • VPS, dedicated hosting, or IaaS experience is nice to have • iDRAC, IPMI, SAN/NAS or Veeam experience is nice to have • PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible experience is nice to have • Experience in fintech, trading, telecom, broadcast, or other mission-critical environments is nice to have
