📋 Description

• Advise on federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour, leave management, worker classification, and multi-state employment compliance. • Draft, review, and update employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, handbook policies, and organizational procedures. • Partner with HR and leadership to manage employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and disciplinary actions. • Provide counsel on issues related to clinical workforce staffing, credentialing, telehealth compliance, and provider employment/contract structures. • Develop and deliver training to HR and management teams on employment law topics, compliance updates, and best practices. • Support M&A, corporate initiatives, and organizational changes by advising on employment-related implications and integration planning. • Manage outside counsel as needed for litigation, specialized matters, or state-specific employment issues. • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school; active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. • 8+ years of employment law experience, including direct experience advising healthcare organizations, provider groups, hospital systems, or telehealth companies. • Strong understanding of federal and state employment statutes, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and state labor laws. • Proven experience supporting HR teams and advising on employee relations, investigations, and workforce compliance. • Exceptional drafting, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear, practical guidance. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
