• Oversee daily accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable, reimbursements, cash reconciliation, and sales tax filings. • Review and maintain financial schedules (accruals, prepaid amortizations) and software capitalization practices. • Ensure payroll tax compliance and complete payroll account reconciliations across jurisdictions. • Manage vendor payments, monitor AP aging reports to maintain <5% overdue balances. • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items within 30 days. • Lead monthly close process within 5 business days, including all journal entries and reconciliations. • Identify, propose, and implement automations or process improvements. • Establish and run weekly 1:1s and conduct quarterly performance reviews for direct reports. • Help build scalable accounting infrastructure and drive strategic improvement initiatives. • Support growth and expansion of the accounting team.
• Hands-on, highly analytical, and relentlessly detail-oriented. • Proactive leader with technical accounting expertise and strong team development skills. • Experience overseeing payroll, accounts payable, reimbursements, cash reconciliation, and sales tax filings. • Ability to review financial schedules (accruals, prepaid amortizations) and software capitalization practices. • Ensure payroll tax compliance and perform payroll account reconciliations across jurisdictions. • Experience managing vendor payments, monitoring AP aging, and resolving balance sheet reconciliations. • Ability to lead monthly close process within 5 business days, prepare journal entries and reconciliations. • Proven track record implementing automations or process improvements. • Ability to conduct performance reviews and set development goals. • Willingness to travel up to 15 days per year (up to 35 days for senior roles).
