⢠Managing the opera repertoire in the in-house repertoire workshop, including extensive recasting ⢠Planning and coordinating the production processes for costumes for new productions and scheduling their timelines ⢠Commissioning the stage services to manufacture costumes on behalf of the Komische Oper Berlin ⢠Commissioning and coordinating external contractors ⢠Managing international co-productions and guest performances ⢠Monitoring adherence to agreed costume design budgets and, if necessary, developing cost-reduction measures ⢠Preparing cost calculations and quotations as well as investment planning ⢠Continuously developing all staff in the department in both personnel and technical aspects
⢠Completed training as a costume designer, wardrobe master, or a comparable qualification ⢠Experience in the production area of a theatre costume workshop or in the clothing/garment industry ⢠Experience in workshop and production management as well as in the artistic implementation of costume designs and sketches ⢠Leadership skills, assertiveness, organizational talent, sense of responsibility, resilience, and a high level of communication skills ⢠Experience in dealing sensitively with artistic partners ⢠Foreign language skills and experience with common MS Office applications ⢠High degree of flexibility, commitment, and reliability ⢠Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, Sundays and public holidays ⢠Competence in diversity and migration-related issues and social skills, or a willingness to continuously acquire further qualifications in these areas ⢠Constructive, appreciative, and team-oriented working style
