📋 Description

• Provide technical advice and support to relevant government institutions and counterparts • Support the design, development, and implementation of reforms, policies, systems, and processes • Conduct assessments, reviews, analyses, and diagnostic studies to inform reform priorities and interventions • Provide expertise in tax administration, tax policy and legislation, revenue mobilisation, public financial management, fiscal planning, and digital transformation • Support the modernisation and strengthening of institutional systems, procedures, and service delivery • Contribute to strategies, frameworks, methodologies, and implementation plans • Design and deliver training, workshops, mentoring, and other capacity-building activities for government officials and stakeholders • Support stakeholder engagement, coordination, taxpayer or public awareness, and knowledge-sharing initiatives where relevant • Prepare technical reports, policy papers, training materials, guidance notes, and other project deliverables • Contribute to initiatives strengthening governance, fiscal sustainability, domestic revenue mobilisation, and public sector performance • Support the Government of Nepal in strengthening tax administration, digital transformation, domestic revenue mobilisation, and revenue policy reforms

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field such as Public finance, Economics, Taxation, Accounting, Law, Public administration, Management, or another related discipline • Excellent written and spoken English language skills • Relevant technical expertise aligned with the specific role and area of specialisation • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in public sector advisory, technical assistance, institutional strengthening, or capacity development • At least 10 years of specialised experience in a relevant technical area such as public financial management, tax administration, tax law and revenue policy, domestic revenue mobilisation, fiscal policy, or related fields • Significant professional experience working in Nepal, preferably with a strong understanding of the country’s institutional, policy and development context • Experience working with government authorities, ministries, revenue agencies, or public sector institutions • Experience supporting international development programmes, reform initiatives, or donor-funded technical assistance projects would be an advantage
