📋 Description

• We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Controller to lead and oversee our finance department across six affiliated companies. • As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. • You will supervise a team of finance professionals and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the company's financial functions. • This is a fully remote position ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional financial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. • Experience managing a remote finance team across time zones. • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite) and tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or BI dashboards. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity. • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. • Experience in a remote-first or tech-enabled company. • Background in scaling financial systems and teams in a growing organization. • Familiarity with international financial regulations and cross-border transactions. • QuickBooks Online and Bill.com – end-to-end accounting and payment workflows. • Ability to integrate and manage financial data from platforms such as Shopify, Fishbowl, and ADP Payroll. • Experience developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core financial processes and reporting. • Ensure multi-state sales tax compliance, including the use of platforms like Avalara for accurate tax calculations and reporting.
