📋 Description

• Lead, coach and develop the Architecture and DevOps squads • Support performance, engagement and career development • Set expectations and support experienced technical professionals • Hold regular one-to-ones and ensure meaningful development plans • Lead hiring, onboarding and team capability development • Create an environment of autonomy and accountability • Own backlog prioritisation and roadmap decisions for both squads • Translate strategic goals into priorities, outcomes and delivery plans • Maintain visibility of commitments, progress, risks and dependencies • Identify and remove blockers and escalate issues when needed • Manage cross-squad dependencies and delivery risks • Coordinate priorities with Product Managers, Development Managers and senior Engineering leaders • Lead technical vision, platform design and architectural governance for OrbusInfinity • Provide informed challenge on technical proposals and trade-offs • Support consistent engineering standards and technical decision-making • Lead DevOps tooling and infrastructure that enable teams to build, deploy and monitor applications • Provide leadership for production operations, reliability and incident management • Review operational risks and prioritise follow-up actions • Foster shared ownership and continuous delivery excellence across Engineering • Represent Architecture and DevOps in engineering forums • Support knowledge-sharing, collaboration and improvements to engineering processes

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading or managing software engineering teams • Experience leading and developing experienced technical professionals • Background in software development or software architecture • Sound judgement in software architecture and technical design • Experience owning or managing priorities, roadmaps, dependencies and delivery risks • Ability to lead teams responsible for DevOps, cloud operations, reliability or production support • Strong communication skills for explaining complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience working with distributed or international teams • Fluency in English, the working language of the team and wider organisation • Previous hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, Helm, Bicep or ARM is nice to have • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud-native development practices is nice to have • Experience in a SaaS product company is nice to have • Experience with multi-regional or high-availability infrastructure is nice to have • Experience with production incident management and operational improvement is nice to have • Experience hiring and building specialist technical teams is nice to have • Experience with architecture governance, technical strategy or platform engineering is nice to have • Experience with agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban is nice to have
