📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support business decision-making. • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations using Xero accounting software. • Process payroll, superannuation, and related statutory obligations in a timely manner. • Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG, and other regulatory reports as required. • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management. • Support external accountants and auditors by preparing financial documentation and responding to information requests.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience in a commercial, public practice, or similar accounting environment. • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software, including reconciliations, reporting, payroll, and system administration. • Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles, GST, BAS, payroll, and compliance requirements. • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in financial data. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and financial reporting functions. • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Able to finalise annual accounts in Xero and prepare Trust, company and individual tax returns in XERO tax.
