📋 Description

• Produce the assigned stream of native Dutch payroll accurately, compliantly, and on time each period • Process and check payroll master data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, absences, and garnishments • Run pre- and post-payroll validations and flag issues before payroll is finalized • Complete monthly loonaangifte filings to the Belastingdienst, UWV wage declarations, annual jaarloonopgaaf, and Ziektewet/WAZO reimbursement claims • Retrieve and maintain employee loonheffingskorting data and support required government access setup and maintenance • Follow in-house payroll system procedures and test legislative updates as directed • Apply Dutch wage tax, social security, employment law, and CAO knowledge to payroll work • Check payroll journals and GL mappings against payroll outputs and flag data integrity issues • Handle assigned client payroll tickets and escalate matters beyond scope • Prepare statutory and ad-hoc reports, including EU Pay Transparency Directive, OR-facing pay assessment, and AVG/GDPR documentation • Provide structured data and documentation for internal and external audits • Follow and improve SOPs, identify process gaps, share knowledge, and maintain playbooks and the knowledge base

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years running native, in-house Netherlands payroll processes • Ability to independently handle a defined monthly volume of payslips • Hands-on AFAS processing experience • Completed Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie (PDL) and/or NIRPA Register Salarisadministrateur (RSa) registration • Working knowledge of Dutch wage tax, social insurance, and labor law • Dutch at C1/C2 level for interaction with local authorities • Fluent English for collaboration with the asynchronous global team • Ability to handle assigned client queries and escalate matters beyond scope with clear context • Careful, detail-oriented approach with thorough self-checking • Ability to navigate ambiguity and identify when escalation is needed • Willingness to share knowledge and support peers • Comfort working largely asynchronously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment • Right to work in the Netherlands • Desirable: broader accounting background or RA/AA qualification • Desirable: experience delivering cross-functional HR/payroll projects • Desirable: hands-on use of AI tools for payroll or operations workflows • Desirable: data transformation skills and experience with data analytics platforms
