📋 Description

• Own a single, accurate, always-current view of the organization's worldwide data center estate. • Consolidate fragmented facility information into an authoritative source of truth. • Turn inventory data into capacity forecasts, utilization reporting, and move/migration analysis. • Define and enforce standards for recording and reporting power, cooling, rack, and space configurations. • Analyze space, power, and cooling requirements for data center moves, migrations, and consolidations. • Supply capacity and utilization data for resourcing and planning decisions. • Identify sites approaching power, cooling, or space limits and recommend mitigation. • Uphold resilience, safety, compliance, redundancy, and disaster-recovery standards. • Maintain global facility, space, power, cooling, rack, asset, contract, and commitment inventories. • Track utilization and headroom at rack, row, room, and site levels. • Forecast capacity and recommend expansion, consolidation, or reallocation. • Produce reporting and dashboards for leadership, finance, and planning. • Define data standards, naming conventions, and audit cadence. • Run physical audits and reconcile findings against recorded data. • Partner with infrastructure/IT leadership, networking, cloud, security, procurement, finance, facilities teams, providers, and business units.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience managing data center infrastructure at multi-site or global scale, ideally across a mix of owned and colocation facilities. • Deep, practical understanding of data center power, cooling, and physical space — circuits, PDUs, UPS and generators, redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N), cooling systems, and containment. • A demonstrated track record of keeping accurate inventory and capacity data current across many sites. • Experience planning and executing data center moves, migrations, consolidations, or build-outs. • Colocation and vendor management experience — contracts, SLAs, capacity commitments, and cost control. • Strong data and reporting skills, advanced spreadsheet skills, and comfort using BI or reporting tools. • Experience coordinating work across multiple regions, time zones, and stakeholder groups. • Data center certifications such as Uptime Institute (ATD/ATS), BICSI DCDC, or EPI CDCP/CDCS/CDCE (preferred). • Familiarity with DCIM platforms such as Nlyte, Sunbird, Device42, or Hyperview (preferred). • Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier topology, ANSI/TIA-942, and ASHRAE thermal guidelines (preferred). • Exposure to hybrid environments including on-premises, colocation, edge, and public cloud (preferred). • Awareness of data center sustainability and energy-efficiency practices, including PUE and power reporting (preferred).
