📋 Description

• Take ownership of critical product areas • Support workflows used directly by Peek’s customers • Improve overall system performance, security, and reliability • Design and operate complex agent orchestration systems • Develop patterns for human-agent collaboration • Ship product features through agent-assisted development with human colleagues • Build and maintain Peek Pro operations management systems, embeddable scheduling and booking flows, and enterprise custom development services • Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and peer stakeholders • Participate in peer code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, and TDD • Participate in an on-call rotation and address occasional production issues when on-call

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development using Elixir and/or Ruby; Elixir experience is required • Strong backend fundamentals in Elixir, including API design, data modeling, SQL, service reliability, and production debugging • Experience creating scalable and reliable backend systems integrating multiple services and products • Daily production use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code, including logic errors, security issues, and maintainability • Strong system design instincts involving tradeoffs, edge cases, scaling, and failure modes • Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, and TDD • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases • Strong understanding of AI tools and production software fundamentals • Experience participating in an on-call rotation and willingness to handle occasional production issues outside work hours when on-call • Experience with Ruby, GraphQL APIs, RabbitMQ or other message queues, B2B software, booking flows, or the travel industry is nice to have
