📋 Description
• Are you a IMS database systems engineer who loves to work on complex and challenging projects? • Do you have experience as a IMS systems programmer and expertise in IMS internals, fundamentals, installations, and operations? • We are looking for a IMS database systems engineer for our partner to work on projects for clients in various industries. • You will be responsible for implementing IMS data sharing/parallel sysplex, performing systems performance tuning and capacity planning, and ensuring security interface with IMS. • You will also work with SMP/E and UserMods, IMS tools, and OEM vendor tools. • You will also have knowledge of z/OS, USS, JCL, CICS/IMS, and MQ/IMS.
🎯 Requirements
• Ideally 7+ years of experience as a IMS systems programmer • Expertise in IMS internals, fundamentals, installations, and operations • Experience in implementing IMS data sharing/parallel sysplex • Experience in performing systems performance tuning and capacity planning • Knowledge of security interface with IMS • Experience with SMP/E and UserMods, IMS tools • Indepth knowledge of z/OS, USS, and JCL skills • Working knowledge of CICS/IMS and MQ/IMS • Knowledge of interfacing with and installing OEM vendor tools • Proficiency in IMS system’s performance tuning and capacity planning
