• Support the development of energy storage projects on the transmission and distribution networks in the UK and Europe. • Prepare compelling bids and competitive tenders in international markets. • Develop commercial concepts and maintain customer relationships to secure contracts. • Produce high-quality internal documentation for the Investment Committee. • Utilize financial models in collaboration with the finance team. • Support the Corporate Finance team with project financing. • Monitor regulatory, political and commercial developments related to projects. • Steer business case development through to project close. • Contribute to strategic direction — e.g., identifying new target markets (Europe/USA/Australia). • Collaborate with international teams to ensure successful project delivery. • Analyze regulatory frameworks and their impact on business models. • Prepare sales and marketing materials and participate in conferences. • Build strategic partnerships to scale the business. • Provide technical leadership for an Associate within the team.
• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in engineering, business or finance. • Genuine interest in clean energy and our social and environmental mission. • Solid professional experience (5–10 years) in business development / international business development in the energy sector, preferably in energy storage or renewable energy. • Experience in the electricity and battery storage markets in the UK and Europe — ideally with a focus on Germany. • Strong commercial skills — confident handling of contracts, bid preparation and project financing. • Excellent communication skills, including presenting financial models and sales concepts. • German as a native language or business fluent. • Very good organizational skills, team player and strong attention to detail. • Motivation to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
