📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain software that streamlines workflows, automates tasks, and connects applications across the VFX production pipeline • Design scalable, maintainable solutions using appropriate design patterns and sound engineering principles • Write clear, well-tested code and participate in peer reviews • Promote consistent coding standards, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development where appropriate • Collaborate with production, finance, HR, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify workflow improvements • Break down technical work, estimate effort, identify dependencies and risks, and communicate progress • Investigate software and integration issues, resolve underlying causes, and improve system reliability and performance • Mentor and guide other developers through feedback and knowledge sharing • Maintain clear technical documentation • Contribute to technical architecture and take ownership of development projects

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems • Ability to lead technical decisions and deliver solutions independently • Strong proficiency in Python and C++ • Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles • Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows, including code reviews • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and creative teams • Experience mentoring developers and taking ownership of technical projects • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Experience in VFX, animation, or a related production environment (additional asset) • Experience developing tools and integrations for Payroll, HRIS and Financial Services (additional asset) • Familiarity with Clean Architecture, CQRS, or other architectural approaches (additional asset) • Experience with cloud services supporting production pipelines (additional asset) • Familiarity with Agile development practices and Jira or Asana (additional asset)
