📋 Description

• Lead Weave Intelligence and own Platform Engineering's intellectual agenda • Develop and maintain the research agenda, editorial calendar, evidence standards, and research team • Set the quarterly theme calendar across reports, articles, webinars, courses, and videos • Align content, events, and sales around a consistent narrative • Balance original thought leadership backed by proprietary data with rapid-response market analysis • Lead the analyst practice, including methodology, editorial ownership of major reports, market guides, and vendor briefings • Maintain and defend the editorial firewall separating sponsorship from conclusions • Publish regularly under your own name and serve as analyst chair at company and industry events • Conduct vendor and enterprise briefings and develop structured views of the vendor landscape • Lead and develop the content team and brand designers • Build relationships with media houses, analyst firms, and independent voices for co-published research, syndication, and joint formats • Collaborate with founders on public positioning and amplify company ideas through stages and publications

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in roles involving technology market analysis and thought leadership, such as industry analyst, editor or lead writer at a technical publication, content or product marketing lead, or developer advocacy lead • Deep expertise in platform engineering, developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, or AI adoption in software development • Ability to engage credibly with staff engineers and CTOs • Body of published work under your own name • Ability to defend industry viewpoints with evidence • Strong narrative judgment • Editorial rigor, including methodology, sourcing, and fact-checking • Experience leading and developing a small team of writers, researchers, or producers • Comfort speaking on stage, on camera, and in vendor leadership briefings • Operating discipline with calendars, standards, and publishing cadence • Exceptional written and spoken English • Willingness to travel a few times per year for events and offsites • Familiarity with survey design and quantitative research methods (nice to have) • Existing relationships across the cloud native and developer tooling ecosystem (nice to have) • Hands-on engineering or platform background (nice to have) • Experience working in a startup or scale-up and with remote, globally distributed teams (nice to have)
