📋 Description

• You will have sole responsibility for providing contractual legal advice and for developing negotiation strategies for the business units and areas of the PLATH Systems & Integration business division in all relevant project and (acquisition) phases • Coordinate and prepare contractual arrangements with customers, suppliers and other contracting parties • Coordinate the legal team during contract negotiation phases and act as a member of the negotiation team • Conduct early analysis and assessment of tenders and awards for legal risks and corresponding mitigation measures • Enforce contractual rights in key projects • Develop policy rules and directives for contract execution within the S&I Business Division, including the regular training of the relevant specialist departments • Actively ensure division-internal approval processes, including approvals required for certain transactions throughout the entire customer journey • Take responsibility for all contractual aspects of change order/contract amendment management and develop project- and supplier-specific claim strategies • Coordinate the timely preparation of claims as requested by the relevant departments • Establish claims and position them vis-à-vis customers / suppliers and negotiate these positions • Identify contractual risks and clearly define assumptions, boundary conditions and delimitations, as well as support operational solution approaches • Continuously develop contract management practices and manage the administration, coordination and oversight of contracts

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Business Law or Degree in Law (Jurisprudence) • Several years of experience with international law in the defense and security sector • Professional experience in a commercial company or in a law firm focused on business law with a emphasis on contract law, ideally with international experience • Many years of negotiation experience with international B2B and B2G bodies • Strong team orientation, openness and excellent communication skills • Informal leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams, particularly in the substantive orchestration and training of negotiation teams • High willingness to travel nationally and internationally • Independent, pragmatic and goal-oriented working style • Business-fluent English and very good IT skills (MS Office); French language skills would be an advantage
