📋 Description

• Own security foundations, including secure-by-default Terraform and Docker modules, hardened images for ECS and EKS workloads, and developer-platform guardrails • Drive cloud security posture by remediating Wiz findings and tuning IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty • Automate compliance evidence collection for PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DORA • Run vulnerability management and incident response end to end, including triage, SLAs, remediation, and post-mortems • Build the application security practice through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure coding guidance • Use and build AI-native security tooling for VulnOps, red-teaming, and incident response • Manage and grow the security team, including hiring the third Security Engineer • Shape the security roadmap and establish measurable security-posture metrics • Collaborate with Platform Core, SRE, and product teams • Participate in security reviews and step in during incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on background in DevSecOps or cloud security, ideally with real ownership of an AWS environment • Direct experience with IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and SCPs • Proficiency in Terraform, including writing secure, reusable modules from scratch • Experience securing containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes • Experience with hardened base images and admission controllers • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or TypeScript to automate compliance checks and triage workflows • Working knowledge of PCI DSS, SOC 2, and/or ISO 27001 • Experience running vulnerability management at scale or leading incident response • Experience managing engineers or leading trusted technical work • At least one hiring decision worth learning from • Ability to explain security risks clearly to non-security audiences • Point of view on AI as an attacker tool and evolving vulnerability-response windows • Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and rigorous review of AI-generated pull requests
