📋 Description

• Manage the entire claim compensation process • Review requests for claim denial, clear data, and claim exceptions; flag deficiencies and notify customers promptly of coverages • Analyze claims and supporting documentation to ensure eligibility is reasonable and correct • Analyze claims and interpret policies • Assess and authorize claim payouts within the given limit of authority • Work claims out of dedicated folders as directed by upper management • De-escalate escalated claims efficiently and in a timely manner • Send claimant responses, including deficiency and rejection letters • Provide timely and efficient responses to clients • Communicate updates, claim information requests, and recommendations to relevant units • Follow escalation protocols and policies • Escalate claim quality concerns and outcomes to a supervisor or appropriate unit • Document client conversations accurately and descriptively in software; record a note for every action taken within a claim • Review and track documentation and follow up for additional information when necessary • Manage all claims-related activities daily • Monitor claims intake and notify the supervisor of impending backlog or delay concerns • Complete at least 7 hours of log time in the system daily • Track daily claims work to meet weekly goals set by upper management (40 status changes/contacts per day) • Process a minimum of 6 claims per day • Work scheduled shifts with allotted lunch and break times • Follow company directives, policies, and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a degree or coursework in business, insurance, or a related field is a plus • Prior experience in claims, insurance, or customer service, ideally in home warranty or property insurance • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain coverage decisions clearly to customers • Comfort managing a high volume of open claims and moving between them without losing track of details • Sound judgment for reviewing documentation and assessing coverage against contract terms • Proficiency with claims management software and general computer applications • Proven experience working with US based business teams • Excellent written and communication skills in English language • Full and ongoing overlap with Porch’s U.S. EST business hours (7:30 PM IST – 3:30 AM IST) • A quiet workspace • Internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
