📋 Description

• Read and interpret customer contracts to determine correct billing treatment • Prepare and issue customer billing, including intercompany credit card statement billing • Communicate directly with U.S.-based account managers on billing questions and contract terms • Perform month-end billing reconciliations • Partner with operations to resolve contract interpretation questions and relay accurate information to customers • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to billing • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes as customer and contract dynamics evolve • Perform professional accounting activities related to general accounting • Control, monitor, and review accounts for accuracy, documentation, and compliance • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations • Support management with ad hoc requests • Partner with managers and internal teams to maintain processes and controls • Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience in a corporate accounting environment • 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting or billing role; more experience preferred • General understanding of accounting fundamentals (accrual vs. cash basis, payables) • Experience with non-standardized or complex billing, including reading and interpreting contracts, is strongly preferred • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Proven experience working with US-based business teams • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Experience with NetSuite and FloQast, or a comparable large ERP (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics) or BlackLine, is a plus • CPA, CA, or ACCA is a plus but not required • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, virtual environment • Ability to work 8 hours excluding breaks, including 4 core U.S. hours overlap (7:30pm–11:30pm IST) and 4 flexible hours • Quiet workspace • Internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
