📋 Description

• Collaborate with product management, web engineers, and data engineers to deliver critical features supporting core businesses • Design and develop backend systems and services using Scala • Help grow the skills of other team members and learn from them • Balance long-term code health and maintainability with business needs • Set and maintain a high-quality bar • Lead projects from technical design through completion • Communicate technical decisions through design documentation • Identify and resolve design problems and ambiguity in requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of professional experience building backend applications on the JVM • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java • Experience with Scala a plus • Experience working with AI and AI coding assistant tools • Experience with service-oriented architecture and REST-based web service development • Ability to identify and apply appropriate design and integration patterns • Experience with cloud-based systems such as GCP or AWS a plus • Experience with virtualization using Docker or Kubernetes a plus • Ability to organize and self-direct work and communicate challenges • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation • Proven experience working with US-based business teams • Excellent written and communication skills in English • Quiet workspace • Internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Availability for 4 core US hours overlap (7:30pm–11:30pm IST) and 4 flexible IST hours
