📋 Description

• The Senior Accountant will support the Health Services federal contracting subsidiary with accounting-based activities by performing tasks related to general ledger transactions, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (with invoice creation), processing of payroll, and project-specific financial analysis. • The position’s main objective will be the timely, monthly creation and submission of invoices to the various customers where we have staffed resources for the month. • They will also be able to provide support with project setup, planning, analysis, and closeout, and in large job cases, make entries to adjust that projects' WIP, especially once this position picks up some responsibilities related to Joint Ventures. • Accounts Receivable Generates invoices for various customers based on timesheets from the previous month. • Submits invoices via various systems. Matching payments to invoice numbers. At least monthly, prepare AR aging reports. • Coordinates with the Project Manager to discuss any payments that are behind, and/or overdue. • Strong Management of 3rd party vendors for billing/collections • Work with the Executive Leadership, Management, and Project Managers to prepare project reports and provide appropriate analysis. • Payroll processing according to project costing. Track the status of the project ensuring execution and compliance. • Assist in financial aspects of project close-out. Month-end review of each project's P&L • Prepare final statements at the end of the project and send them to subcontractors and suppliers for their review. • Analyze project accounting metrics and each project’s financial position monthly and escalate any issues as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting • 3-5 years of experience in accounting • Experience in staffing and federal contracting is helpful • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. • ERP experience with QuickBooks/Unanet is very helpful. • Strong analytical skills with complex billing situations • Must possess great organization and attention-to-detail skills. • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, across multiple companies within Prairie Band, LLC. • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines. • Ability to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all subcontractors, suppliers, and vendor representatives. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with all employees, contractors and customers.
