Luna handles inbound calls 24/7, books, reschedules and cancels appointments directly in practice management software (PVS), answers common patient questions, routes complex issues to staff, and provides analytics through a web app. The service integrates with existing phone numbers and emphasizes GDPR-compliant data handling to reduce front-desk workload and improve patient service.

📋 Description

• Design and implement read/write integrations into third-party practice management systems • Design infrastructure that scales to hundreds of thousands of individual practice servers • Engineer reliability into the system through data consistency, idempotency, retries, error handling, and observability • Triage integration failures in production, communicate impact clearly, and harden the system to prevent recurrence • Define technical standards and architecture for integrations • Establish pragmatic processes for development, maintenance, and incident handling • Ship production integrations that unlock Luna’s capabilities and help scale it from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of medical practitioners

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Python, TypeScript and/or Rust • Proven experience building and running software in production • Strong understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems, and failure modes • Comfort operating in messy environments (inconsistent behavior, missing docs, etc.) • Clear communication under pressure (during incidents, vendor issues, competing priorities) • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment • Prior work on healthcare software or practice management systems • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, terminology, or data standards (e.g. FHIR) • Fluent German (spoken and written) • Experience in startups or scale-ups • Ability to submit a resume
