📋 Description

• Design and own backend services in NestJS and TypeScript, from schema to production • Make independent architecture decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and reliability • Build and maintain GraphQL APIs across a microservices environment • Own database design, optimization, and reliability in Postgres • Define technical direction beyond implementation details • Set and enforce quality standards across AI-generated and manually written code • Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical solutions • Contribute to system design, infrastructure decisions, testing strategy, and developer productivity • Operate in an AI-first workflow while maintaining engineering standards • Accelerate research, planning, implementation, testing, and refinement using AI agents while retaining full ownership • Move quickly, think at systems level, and make strong technical decisions with minimal hand-holding

🎯 Requirements

• Lead Engineer- or Architect-level experience and prior comparable responsibilities • At least 5 years of work experience in software development • At least 2 years of experience in Nest.js • At least 2 years of work experience with databases • At least 2 years of work experience with Postgres, GraphQL, and TypeORM • 3+ years of experience with Node.js • 3+ years of experience with TypeScript • Bachelor's Degree • Degree in IT or Computer Science, or equivalent experience • Strong backend development skills • Ability to make architecture decisions independently • Experience designing scalable, maintainable, reliable systems • Experience with microservices environments and GraphQL APIs • Experience with Postgres database design, optimization, and reliability • Ability to use AI tools to speed up implementation, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving • Strong judgment regarding architecture, correctness, security, performance, and reliability • English conversational skills
