Primordial Labs is an autonomy company that builds natural-language human-machine interfaces and edge-deployable autonomy software (branded Anura) for defense and national security customers. The team combines engineers and former special operators to rapidly prototype and deploy AI-driven, NLP-enabled systems that can run on constrained edge hardware — including drones and other fielded platforms. Primordial Labs operates as a distributed, fully remote company focused on delivering practical autonomy and mission-focused solutions for warfighters.

📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end deployment of Anura onto various unmanned systems and hardware platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for our Army customers. • Debug complex hardware/software integrations in real-time—whether it’s a networking hiccup, a sensor mismatch, or an API edge case. • This role requires significant travel (up to 50%) to client sites and test ranges to ensure our tech performs under pressure. • Work directly with operators to understand their challenges and translate field observations into actionable product requirements for our core dev team. • Train and support our users, making sure they feel confident commanding fleets of unmanned systems using natural language intent.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in software engineering, systems integration, or a similar FDE/Field Engineering role (experience in Defense Tech or Robotics is a massive plus). • Proficiency in Python and C++ and experience with containerization (Docker). • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to support deployments and testing. • Current Secret or TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred, but not required. • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent 'battle-tested' experience).
