📋 Description
• Welcome a child or young person into your own home • Provide care as a social-educational foster-care placement (§34 SGB VIII) or educational placement (§33.2 SGB VIII) • Provide educational support to the child or young person through life’s challenges and positive experiences • Develop all steps leading up to the placement of a child or young person together with the organization • Participate in a personal consultation to assess whether this work is suitable for you and your household
🎯 Requirements
• Educational professional, such as an educator, social worker, or social pedagogue • Educational qualification or comparable professional suitability • A career change may be possible for non-specialists with relevant prior experience and additional training pursuant to §33.2 SGB VIII • Willingness to welcome and care for a child or young person in your own home • Educational expertise, patience, and a good sense of humor
