📋 Description

• Independently advise healthcare organizations and medical research institutions on data protection law • Support clients as an external Data Protection Officer and serve as their primary point of contact by email, phone, video call, and on-site • Advise on health data, research projects, and the processing of special categories of personal data • Support the establishment and operation of data protection management systems • Guide the implementation of the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and church data protection regulations • Take responsibility for data protection audits, TOM reviews, records of processing activities, data protection impact assessments, and policies • Deliver data protection training to employees and managers • Share expertise within the team, provide professional guidance to colleagues, and contribute to quality assurance • Further develop advisory services at the intersection of law, IT processes, and IT security

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree with a focus on law, business law, or a comparable field • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in data protection • Ideally, experience as an external Data Protection Officer, in consulting, at a law firm, or in-house • Experience in healthcare or medical research, as well as handling highly sensitive data, is an advantage • Independent, structured, and reliable working style • Ability to find pragmatic solutions to complex issues • Personal integrity and strong teamwork skills • Confident presence and excellent communication skills when dealing with clients • Ability to explain legal topics clearly and understandably • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken • Business-fluent English skills • Moderate willingness to travel within Germany
