Proper Marine is a Brazilian maritime engineering and consultancy firm (the Brazil division of Longitude and part of ABL Group) specializing in naval architecture, offshore and maritime operations, and energy transition projects. Proper Marine serves global clients and supports decommissioning, towing/berthing operations, and technical advisory services to improve safety, performance and sustainability.

📋 Description

• Develop mooring system analyses for offshore units (FPSOs, platforms, and vessels). • Perform numerical modeling and simulations using software such as OrcaFlex and OrcaWave. • Assess environmental conditions, loadings, and behavior of subsea systems based on metocean data. • Conduct hydrodynamic analyses related to the behavior of vessels and offshore equipment. • Automate analysis workflows and data processing using Python where applicable. • Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation. • Provide technical support to marine and subsea operations as required. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on offshore engineering projects. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis methodologies and tools.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Naval, Ocean, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. • Experience with modeling and simulation in OrcaFlex. • Experience in mooring system analyses, line analyses, or subsea installation. • Ability to interpret simulation results and prepare technical reports. • Intermediate English for technical reading and professional communication. • Prior experience in offshore engineering projects. • Experience in hydrodynamics applied to vessel motions. • Experience with marine operations or offshore operational engineering. • Knowledge of line, cable, riser analysis or subsea equipment deployment. • Familiarity with standards and regulations such as DNV, ABS, API 2SK, or CSS Code. • Experience with software such as Rhino, HydroD, OrcaWave, Lashcon, Inventor, or Optimoor. • Experience with other hydrodynamic analysis software.
