Proper Marine is a Brazilian maritime engineering and consultancy firm (the Brazil division of Longitude and part of ABL Group) specializing in naval architecture, offshore and maritime operations, and energy transition projects. The company provides vessel design, conversion and repair engineering, integrity management and life‑extension services for offshore units, 3D scanning and digital transformation tools, hazardous materials inventory (IHM), and regulatory compliance support for shipowners and operators in renewables, maritime and oil & gas sectors. Proper Marine serves global clients and supports decommissioning, towing/berthing operations, and technical advisory services to improve safety, performance and sustainability.

📋 Description

• Perform process safety engineering across all project phases (Conceptual, FEED, and Detailed Engineering). • Lead and participate in risk studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, Bow-Tie, and QRA. • Prepare, review, and approve process safety technical documents, including philosophies, reports, and risk matrices. • Analyze risk scenarios in production, separation, treatment, utilities, and flare systems. • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and codes. • Manage technical interfaces with disciplines such as Process, Instrumentation, Electrical, Naval, Structural, and Operations. • Serve as a technical reference for clients, partners, and international teams. • Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of process safety practices globally.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. • Proven experience in process safety applied to offshore projects. • Knowledge of process risk analysis and management. • Experience with methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and QRA. • Familiarity with international process safety standards and best practices. • Fluent in English. • Availability for occasional offshore mobilizations.
