• Design and lead cross-ideological campaigns for AI policy solutions at state and federal levels • Identify and organize stakeholders to build support for pro-democracy AI and data governance • Generate and hone creative policy proposals on AI surveillance, data governance, and transparency • Act as nonpartisan advisor providing expert analysis on AI's impact on civic trust • Write and present to highlight need for specific reforms • Engage with federal and state officials, tech platforms, and civil society
• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree • Background in law, public policy, political science, or political campaigns with understanding of AI capabilities • Commitment to cross-ideological advocacy and ability to build relationships across the political spectrum • Ability to design and lead tech policy development and advocacy initiatives • Experience managing complex projects and teams from ideation to execution • Ability to draft legislative or regulatory proposals and supervise team members • Excellent political judgment and ability to make change with limited resources • Ability to foster collaborative relationships in diverse environments • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for feedback • Passion for protecting and improving democracy
